Gall Bladder Stones

Gallbladder stones, commonly called gallstones, are hard deposits that form inside the gallbladder. Many people have gallstones without symptoms.

When gallstones cause problems, a person may experience pain in the upper abdomen, particularly after meals. Nausea and vomiting may also occur.

Not every gallstone requires surgery. Treatment depends mainly on whether the stones are causing symptoms or complications.
